Northstar requests a tiny local health file several times and reports the median browser-observed response time. The page uses no third-party scripts, analytics, cookies, accounts or browser storage.
Limits
A successful result proves only that this hostname is reachable at that moment. A failed result can be caused by the local connection, routing, DNS, filtering, or endpoint maintenance.
